The Foundation for the Museum of Macedonian Struggle is housed within a neoclassical building, which during the Turkish occupation housed the Greek Consulate of Thessaloniki. The Archaeological Museum of Veria houses and exposes findings from all over Imathia’s Prefecture. The entrance is dominated by the extraordinary marble Medousa’s head, symbol of the north gate of the city walls, whereas in the museum’s garden numerous funerary and honorary altars lie. The most important exhibit is the inscription bearing Veria’s ''Gymnasiarch's law'', which describes how middle and senior education was conducted in the ancient Gymnasium of Veria.
